Funerals

As well as singing at weddings, I am regularly asked to sing at funerals. I sing at all types of funeral service including cremations, masses and committals. I can lead the singing of the hymns and also sing a hymn or song, that has been special to the person who has passed away, or is one of the popular choices.

I am often told afterwards, that the music has been a comfort to people and I feel blessed to be part of and contribute to someone’s funeral.

In a service, singing can take place at the following points:

  • As the coffin enters
  • Between readings
  • In place of a congregational hymn
  • As the coffin/ mourners exit
